ED SUPPORT NEWS ..... The State Government is still refusing to talk to ES unions about a decent wages agreement and maintains that ES staff ONLY deserve a 2.5% wage increase. In response, ES unions are maintaining bans and will be increasing action in schools in Term 4. This will include stop-work action.
Fair Work Sets Timeline for Job Cuts Talks
Last week CPSU called on Education to provide full information about their proposed job cuts to its workforce and CPSU was couriered documents from DEECD at 5pm on Friday 17 August following CPSU lodging a dispute with Fair Work. Their documents contained a proposed organisational chart which included 737 employees characterised as “roles removed” from across DEECD.
DEECD Refuse to Release Full Details of New Staff Structure
Late Tuesday 14 August DEECD released information about a proposed restructure but refused to provide its workforce and CPSU with its overall state-wide proposal. Instead, employees were given organisational diagrams relating only to their particular area. CPSU received no organisational charts at all.

Intransigence Continues to Hinder Negotiation Process
CPSU Representatives met again with AMES HR last week in an attempt to progress negotiations however the games continued when AMES presented a hardcopy Draft Agreement (EBA) document which was completely re-written and untracked.
As you can imagine, changes made to an extensive document are incredibly difficult to find, especially when in hardcopy.
