Fair Pay For Fair Work

The Baillieu Government has capped its central wages funding at 2.5% per annum.

Every Child Deserves Protection

Victoria's Child Protection system has been in crisis for too long. The people who are asked to protect children are overworked and can't provide the level of care that is required. If we want to protect every child, we have to start by making sure the people doing the protecting are looked after.

A long term solution requires an improved system of work for the people looking after vulnerable children. If the government implemented a ceiling on cases for each officer then vulnerable children will not fall through the cracks.

Protest Against Wage Cut

The Governments decision to reduce its centrally funded pay component from 3.25% to 2.5% is worth $100M per year and will force cash strapped service delivery Agencies to consider cutting jobs and therefore vital public services in order to survive.

Wage Increases & Jobs Commitment combine to deliver a Quality Outcome

The State of Victoria (Victoria) and the Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU) have agreed to extend and vary the Victorian Public Service Agreement 2006.

The Victorian Public Service Agreement 2006 was originally negotiated in early 2006 as a pre-Work Choices agreement and was not subject to the limitations on content required by the previous Federal Government’s legislation.

VPSA2006

CPSU wrote to the State Government in January 2006 requesting the extension provision that's provided in the Victorian Public Service Agreement 2004 be exercised early to clear up any possible doubt about the enforceability of all our entitlements following a decision of the Federal Court in late 2005.
