11.4% pay increase over 20 months

Voting is about to commence for our new National Gallery Victoria Agreement negotiated by CPSU members which delivers a compounded 11.4% pay increase over 20 months with 2% backdated to 1 July 2009 and a further 0.8% productivity payment backdated to 4 May.

This agreement has been negotiated by our CPSU representatives on members behalf with NGV.

A copy of our new Agreement is available for you to review via the NGV intranet.

Please take some time to review it prior to voting.

A summary of NGV Agreement outcomes for CPSU members include;

• Salary Increases.
- 0.8% productivity payment (backdated from May 4th 09)
- 2% from 1 July 2009
- 1.25% from Feb 2010
- 3.25% from October 2010
• 2% progression payments from 1 July 2009 and 2010
• 3 hour minimum recall to duty and stand alone overtime.
• Core hours now negotiable.
• Permanent Care Leave (14 week paid).
• Grandparent Leave (52 week unpaid).
• Transfer to a safe job.
• Special Maternity Leave.
• Compassionate Leave extended to member of the household.
• LSL at any time fraction.
• Study Leave now available for research work.
• Antisocial Hours Allowance (additional 5% between 12.00-5.00am).
• Higher duties now available for 5 consecutive days (previously more than 5 consecutive days).
• Improved dispute and grievance procedure, now including potential for arbitration.
• Separation and improvement in Misconduct and Management of Unsatisfactory Work Performance.
• Consultation now required with employees on changes to policy and procedure.

CPSU encourages ALL members to vote and to vote YES.

Voting will take place at NGV from Monday 26th October – Friday 30th October.

The Votes will be counted on Wednesday 4th November
