Cohesion - Christmas Chaos - DIIRD Restructure

Updated 22/04/2016

COHESION .........

Departmental Restructure

CPSU Branch Secretary Karen Batt has written to Secretary Warren Hodgson twice in the last month protesting at the process currently underway for the organisational restructure.

The letters state that it is a false and misleading process to break a consultation and restructure into two stages without providing sufficient detail to staff and the union.

To hold an effective consultation over the festive season is impossible.

CPSU has held metropolitan and regional information sessions to update members on the information provided to us through the Workplace Partnership Committee.

CPSU would remind the DIIRD Secretary that the definition of consultation is a well established industrial principle and invisages the staff and their representtives to be actually involved in the decision making.

CPSU hopes to be meeting with the Secretary again in early January and will keep members informed of any further developments.

Remember, the union supports its members, join today!
