On remembrance day we acknowledge the thousands of Victorian Government employees who enlisted between 1914 and 1918, 726 of whom lost their lives. This number includes employees of the Victorian Government Railways, Civil Servants, Prison Warders, employees of what were then still termed "lunatic asylums", Police and Teachers.  They served Victorians at work and their country at war.  At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them.  Lest We Forget.
