Pay Rises Flow Again

Many of our Agreements include further pay increases from 1st July 2017 which should flow into member pay pockets this week. 

  • 3.8% - CoInvest Limited members
  • 3.25% - WorkCover members with 1.75% plus $1,500 sign on bonus plus new progression increment backdated to 1st December 2016 and 1.5% backdated to 1st June 2017.
  • 3% -  VicForests members
  • 3% - Lower Murray Urban and Rural Water members
  • 2.5% - Greyhound Racing Victoria members
  • 2.5% - Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency members
  • 0.5% - Southern Rural Water members - final payment as Agreement expiry is 30 September 2017.
  • * a further 1.5% - Victorian Public Service members with in Departments and Agencies
  • * a further 1.5% - Arts Institutions' members (NGV, State Library, Museum, ACMI, and Film Victoria)
  • * a further 1.5% - Parliamentary Officers' members
  • * a further 1.5% - Public Transport Victoria members
  • * a further 1.5% - Victorian Building Authority members
  • * a further 1.5% - Victoria State Emergency Service members
  • * a further 1.5% - Victoria Planning Authority members
  • * a further 1.5% - Nurses (Department of Education and Training) members

          * our members also received 1.75% on 1st January 2017.       Happy Pay Day


2. Top of Grade / Value Range Bonus

Progression payments also fall due arising from the 2016-17 performance cycle and for the first time under our Agreements
there will be a 1% bonus payment for employees who are at the top of a grade or value range and where the Employee is assessed
at their annual performance review as meeting the “progression criteria” outlined in the Employee’s performance plan.
 

3. Pending Pay Rises

Our Education Support, Legal Aid and Serco Agreements are at Fair Work awaiting approval.

Our Arts Centre Melbourne, VicHealth, TAC, and VIT Agreements are awaiting State Government approval prior to a ballot of employees.
 

4. Bargaining Blockages

Our Electorate Officer and G4S (Port Phillip Prison) members are currently voting to put protected industrial action in place as they pursue their valid claims after the Parliament, and the private company, respectively refused to make improved offers during bargaining.
