Progression Entitlement - Further Changes as ‚Äö?Ñ??Exceeded‚Äö?Ñ?? Dropped from DSE Proposal.

DSE has advised CPSU in a letter from HR Director Janice Stanford that the proposal to make progression conditional on being assessed as having ‚Äö?Ñ??exceeded requirements has been dropped.

This revision has occurred primarily because of the pressure applied by CPSU members at DSE.

Union members believed throughout that the DSE proposal would breach Commissioner Smiths' Exceptional Matters Order incorporated into our Victorian Public Service Agreement 2006 and it appears this view has been vindicated.

In January, DSE produced a proposal to change the Performance Management and Progression System.

In response to the concerns raised by CPSU members, DSE have now offered a revised version of these aspects of the proposal.

The revised version does not however meet all of our concerns as it will still see the abolition of the numerical scoring system in favour of a narrative assessment.

The Department has asked that CPSU provide feedback on this proposal, and in order to do so, we need feedback from you ‚Äö?Ñ?¨ our members.
