New Parental Leave Arrangements

The State Government has announced it will waive the 12 month continuous service qualifying period for accessing paid primary and secondary caregiver parental leave entitlements from 1st January 2019 as a gender equity initiative ahead of bargaining for the next Victorian Public Service Agreement scheduled for next year.  The new arrangements include increasing secondary caregiver paid parental leave from two to four weeks.
