ESSSuper - In Principle Agreement Reached

Updated 15/02/2021

CPSU can confirm that in principle agreement was reached just before Christmas for a new enterprise agreement at ESSSuper.

A revised offer from ESSSuper was received and our bargaining team approved a HOA to enable the agreement to be concluded.

The HOA includes a 3% pay rise backdated to 15 June 2020, with a further 2.75% from 18 December 2020 as well as two further increases for employees at pay levels 1-4 in June 2021 & 2022, plus a patience payment as well as adjustments to allowances, plus a BCP and Performance payments, improved parental leave, long service leave, and includes a model gender equality provision, amongst other improvements.

Employees at pay level 4 and above will receive pay increases effective from the same dates (above) at 2%.

The draft agreement has now been completed and is currently with the Victorian Government for formal sign off.

Once approved the agreement will be subject to an employee ballot.

If a majority of employees who vote in the ballot approved the agreement it will be lodged with the Fair Work Commission (FWC) for approval.

The union's bargaining team will be recommending that employees vote YES in favour of the agreement when the ballot occurs.

At this stage we do not have a date for the ballot.

Please contact Wayne Townsend CPSU Victorian Branch Assistant Secretary if you have any questions.

CPSU continues to advocate for members interests, and this is an opportunity to remind your colleagues about the benefits of union membership.
