Due to the ongoing efforts of CPSU members it has now been clarified by DFFH that under clause 41.11 Overtime Meal Payment (OTMP)

1. a.    An Employee will be eligible to receive an overtime meal payment if the Employee is required to work a period of overtime which:

i.    is immediately before or after a scheduled period of ordinary duty and is more than two hours in duration; or
ii.    is a stand-alone period of overtime that is more than four hours in duration.

So, if you have applied for the OTMP but had payroll decline the claim or deduct money when you have received it, or if you have any questions or concerns about your entitlements, please contact Magda or text her on 0439 632 085 to follow up on your behalf. .
