HSR Refresher OHS Training Course Work-related violence - November 2025
All
elected health and safety representatives (HSR’s), and deputies who have
attended a HSR initial OHS training course, are entitled to attend a
WorkSafe-approved HSR refresher OHS training course each year under section 67
of the OHS Act 2004.
Section
67 also allows HSRs to choose the course they attend, in consultation with
their employer.
CPSU is
approved by WorkSafe to deliver the HSR Refresher OHS training course –
work-related violence.
The
course provides HSR's and deputy HSR's with information and skills required to
successfully carry out their roles and powers under the OHS Act 2004 and
includes relevant case studies and activities where HSRs can learn more about
participating in the identification, prevention and control of the risks
associated with work-related violence.
HSRs and
deputy HSR’s are entitled to time off work with pay and the costs associated to
attend the courses are paid by the employer, in accordance with the OHS Act
2004
Although
HSRs are the primary audience, this course may also be suitable for managers,
supervisors, health and safety committee members and others looking to broaden
their knowledge of the risks of work-related violence.
This
course will be delivered face to face.
CPSU
provides all participants with course materials.
Participants
will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the course.
The
course is limited to 15 participants.
CPSU
can also deliver group training upon request.
