Public Comment Gag is Lifted & Protected

Updated 22/04/2016

Public servants will be able to choose not to comply with public comment restrictions from tomorrow (Wednesday 9/11) as part of our protected industrial bans arising from our pay dispute with the government.

This means that CPSU members who are usually prevented from participating in public debate can speak to the media about your program resourcing, pay, and other issues.

CPSU members enjoy rights and protections while taking protected action.

Just as your Employer is entitled to ask about your participation then you are equally entitled not to respond or tell them you're considering your position.

If they take the conversation further and insist then remind them of adverse action provisions and your rights and protections and contact CPSU immediately.

Visit our protected action section on this website for all info.
