Jobs Cut but Execs Get Bonuses

Updated 22/04/2016

Business and Innovation Execs Fully Immerse - The Department’s Annual Report has been released, and the Executive remuneration note on P100 makes for interesting reading.  DBI Execs awarded themselves even more in bonus payments in a year of budget cuts and 4200 jobs being slashed from the Public Service.   In 2012, - 43 execs shared in $916,000 or about $21,000 each on average in bonuses well up on 2011 when 63 execs shared in $678,000 or about $10,000 each on average in bonuses.  Bonuses increase - services and jobs disappear.   Not sure what Execs are rewarding themselves for.  You can call it what you want.  We’d call that rubbing salt into the gaping wound.  ONE TERM TED.
