New Year Pay Rise

Updated 22/04/2016

1.25% from 1 January 2013 - What a way to start your New Year with another 1.25% pay increase due from 1st January 2013 and payable in the pay period after that.   Coming off the back of our 3.25% increase paid in July and the $1,500 cash payment, it’s a welcome addition and a reminder of your union advantage.

This Victorian Public Service wide outcome also applies to other CPSU members at Parliament, State Library, Museum, Gallery, ACMI, FilmVic, and Growth Areas.

Our other successful bargaining outcomes concluded in 2012 include PTV, WorkSafe, VicSES, ACER, DECA, ZOO, Fulham Prison, Prisoner Transport, VicForests, VicRoads, VicUrban now PlacesVic, and three of our four Water Agreements, with Parks members in Fair Work awaiting determination.

Schools, Legal Aid, VIT, Trust for Nature, MOSPS, ES&SS, Building & Plumbing, and Cancer Council are still under negotiation or awaiting DTF approval.

28 Agreements in all were negotiated or being negotiated with 1,405 new members recruited this calendar year for a
net growth of 1,641 or 13.1% since 1 July 2010.  Our net member funds stand at $1,814,790 at 30 June up from
$1,273,897 last year with a $69,640 operating surplus recorded for 2011/12 financial year.

CPSU Vic has 52 EBA's, 16,300 members, 410 Occupations, and 4,197 worksites that we organise, and our VicSec Karen Batt convincingly won the FedSec position and is working with all our state PSA’s to defeat the current attacks on the jobs and entitlements of our members.

A BIG YEAR.
