The Victorian public sector is not the easiest place to work.  But one great benefit is the opportunity, every four years, to choose your Employer.  CPSU wrote a letter to the major parties seeking responses to the important issues that are at the heart of the employment relationship between a Government and its workforce.  CPSU asks them why you should hire them as your Employer.   Public Sector employees do not share all the entitlements and benefits that workers in the private sector enjoy and our members deserve to know what type of employer each political party seeking to become the Government after 29 November will be for the next 4 years.  Visit 'choose your employer' where the responses will be available but in the meantime I encourage each CPSU member to forward the questions (page 2) to your local candidates and ask them where they stand on these important crown employment issues.  If you are not sure which state electorate you are enrolled in following the redistribution then visit the VEC for all the information.  Likewise, if you or others in your household, particulalry high school leavers who will/have turned 18, are not enrolled then you have until by 8:00 pm on Tuesday 11 November and can enrol on-line via VEC as well.
