Prison Operator G4S to Repay over $10K
Updated 22/04/2016
The union won a significant test case in the Federal Circuit Court back in February involving pay being deducted from our members for allegedly returning to work one minute late following a protected stoppage at Port Phillip Prison during bargaining last year. In what's become a very expensive minute of bargaining brinkmanship, G4S has now agreed to repay all our members who were deducted up to four hours additional pay for participating in the two oner hour stoppages. The bill will exceed $10K and then add the cost of their lawyers.
