The State Government and CPSU have now exchanged our claims to enable the negotiations to commence with Salary Progression, Pay, Workload, and management and staff relations, dominating the issues members have raised.
The State Government and CPSU have now exchanged our claims to enable the negotiations to commence with Salary Progression, Pay, Workload, and management and staff relations, dominating the issues members have raised. CPSU will seek a 4.7% p.a. increase to salaries; salary ranges; and allowances with the VPS career structure(s) to be moved up by 2 progression pay points, and the removal of Value Range(s) soft barriers, amongst other improvements.
SALARY AND CLASSIFICATION
• 4.7% p.a. increase to salaries; salary ranges; and allowances
• career structure(s) to move up by 2 progression pay points
• remove Value Range(s) soft barrier
• employee protected when position reclassified to higher VR or Grade
• team reward payment
• single day HDA
• cover Christmas/New Year 3 days absence with “banked” TiL
• remove overtime eligibility and calculation caps
• annual leave entitlement to 5 weeks
• remove gender references in Parental Leave (primary/secondary carer)
• primary carer paid leave to 26 weeks & partner paid leave to 4 weeks
• paid leave for employees experiencing family violence
• add statutory declarations as evidence requirements for sick leave

Departments and Agencies with employees to be covered by the Victorian Public Service Agreement '16 will issue a notice of representational rights shortly and CPSU members DO NOT NEED TO RESPOND as they're already represented in the bargaining talks.
