FFRG Restructure Angst
CPSU received documentation from DELWP about a proposed restructure of the Forest, Fire and Regions Group and has also been briefed by the Deputy Secretary however around 300 employees have not been matched to the new proposed structure causing significant angst for our members.
Our members will be affected as existing positions are proposed to cease to exist and be replaced with new positions that have been re-graded.
Employees will need to re-apply for jobs where there are more unmatched applicants than positions.
The proposal seeks to have a one size fits all approach to the regions.
Consultation has commenced and the time lines have been communicated by RDs to employees.
CPSU has advised the Department that these timelines are indicative, and that the union will be seeking additional information form the Department, such as existing organisational charts, numbers of employees at each grade level and clarification on the redeployment process.
If you would like to organise a meeting in your workplace please contact Amy Spencer. Alternatively, please provide your questions and feedback via email.
