After Hours Child Protection Emergency Services - Changes Proposed - Have Your Say

Updated 22/04/2016

DHS has written to CPSU about the outcomes of a recent review undertaken into an aspect of the performance of the After Hours Child Protection Emergency Service.

The review makes 3 pretty self evident recommendations.

DHS writes to seek our response consistent with their obligations under the Victorian Public Service Agreement 2006.

The intended changes are likely to include the introduction of a triaging function, reductions in recording and administraton, performance benchmarkes related to call wait times, better matching of resources to demand and the implementation of a Court Officer role on an ongoing basis to support operations and to reduce the frequency and length of shift extensions.

After Hours Child Protection members are invited to the following meetings, the purpose of the meeting is to provide comments, issues and feedback, as part of the consultation process.

The meeting dates are:

Wed 3rd October at 4 pm and Wed 10th October at 4 pm.

The reason for two dates is to attempt to ensure all members on both sides of the roster are able to attend.

TOGETHER WE DO BETTER.
