CPSU has been successful in ensuring Corrections and Youth Justice workers are recognized as essential workers and permits will now reflect this.  All Prisons and Youth Justice Centres will be requested to stamp the existing interim Permits recognising that frontline staff in Corrections and Youth Justice are formally acknowledged that they have essential worker status.  This will apply to all new work permits as well.
