Yote YES - New Dental proposed Agreement

CPSU has negotiated a 1 year roll over agreement with the Victorian Government for a 2% salary increase backdated to the first pay period after 1 May 2022.  Yote YES to approve the proposed Dental Therapists, Dental Hygienists and Oral Health Therapists’ (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2022- 2023.  New bargaining can commence next year for a longer agreement.

CPSU recommends a YES vote to ensure that a pay increase is paid this year.

If you vote no - there is no chance of a new agreement or revised salary offer this year.

To date the Victorian Government has not changed its pay policy despite significant increases in CPI.  

With a State Election taking place on 26 November there will be no change to the wages policy this year.

The new Federal Government is proposing to amend the industrial relations laws to improve bargaining later this year. 

Dental Therapists, Dental Hygienists and Oral Health Therapists’ can vote from 9.00am on Sunday 16 October 2022 to 5.00pm on Thursday 27 October 2022

The ballot is being conducted by electronic means by Elections Australia Pty Ltd.

Your employer must provide copies of the agreement and explanatory material by 6 October.

The proposed agreement covers the following employers.

  4. Bass Coast Health
  5. Bendigo Health
  6. Central Gippsland Health Service
  7. Central Highlands Health Service
  8. Dental Health Services Victoria
  9. East Grampians Health Service
  10. Echuca Regional Health
  11. Grampians Health
  12. Goulburn Valley Health
  13. Maryborough District Health Service
  14. Monash Health
  15. Northeast Health Wangaratta
  16. Omeo District Health
  17. Peninsula Health
  18. Seymour Health
  19. South West Healthcare
  20. Swan Hill District Health
  21. West Wimmera Health Service
  22. Western Health

Please note that a separate agreement applies to Community Health Centres. Discussions about a salary increase in this sector are continuing.
