End of Financial Year Tax Receipts

Updated 01/07/2025

Your CPSU membership fees are tax deductible.

You can claim any payment made & received by CPSU for your union membership against your income received in that same year.

Tax Receipts

CPSU can supply you with a statement and tax receipt for your records in the following ways:

  1. If you have an email registered with us we will automatically email you a tax receipt
  2. If you have a registered login on our website, you can self-request a tax receipt from your "My Account" page
  3. Call the union's membership hotline on (03) 9639 1822 or email to enquiry@cpsuvic.org and we can email or post a tax receipt to you

Timing

Because there is a time delay in some payment systems (for example BPay payments can take up to 2 working days before we are notified, and EFT reconciliations can take up to 5 working days), we suspend access to tax receipts at the beginning of July until we are able to confidently supply you with a true and correct statement.

  • Automatically emailed tax receipts - we will generate and start emailing these receipts from Thursday the 3rd of July 2025. Due to the quantity of statements to be sent it sometimes takes over 2 days to complete sending out these tax receipts. If you haven't received your emailed tax receipt by Wednesday the 9th of July, contact us and we can arrange for a new one to be emailed.
  • Self-requested receipts - after requesting your receipt it should be emailed to you within 10 minutes.
