Art Agencies Bargaining Gaining Momentum - SLV, ACMI, VicScreen, Museums Vic, NGV

Updated 18/11/2024

An important update on the ongoing Enterprise Agreement negotiations between the Arts Agencies and your union representatives from CPSU and MEAA.  Over the past several weeks, we have conducted four significant meetings with the Arts Agencies and their appointed negotiator from lawyer firm Landers and Rogers.

Here's a detailed breakdown of our progress:

Structure Discussions

The first three meetings were dedicated to establishing the fundamental framework of our negotiations and structure of an Enterprise Agreement. These discussions were essential in laying the groundwork for our bargaining negotiations.

On 28 October, we reached a significant milestone, the Arts Agencies and unions successfully agreed upon the structure of the Single Interest Enterprise Agreement (SIEA). This agreement on structure provides the foundation for our ongoing negotiations.

On Monday, 11 November, we transitioned into the crucial phase of content bargaining.

We are pleased to report that initial progress has been made and we have commenced discussions, though there is still work ahead.

The following representatives are actively participating in these negotiations on your behalf:
•    Vince Trundle representing ACMI
•    Lee-Anne Raymond representing Museums Victoria
•    Arlene Alzona representing Museums Victoria
•    Laurie Benson representing National Gallery of Victoria
•    Sue Jay representing State Library Victoria

Next Steps

The next bargaining meeting is scheduled for today 18 November, where your bargaining delegates will continue to advocate for your interests.

We remain committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for our members and will continue to keep you informed of any developments in these negotiations.

Any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact your union representative.
