Parks News - Decision to Close Werrimull Office Reversed
Parks Victoria Management wrote to the Union earlier this year, to advise of their intention to close the Parks office at Werrimull, and move staff to cramped and inadequate accommodation in Mildura.
Union officials visited the Werrimull site, as well as the proposed accommodation at the existing Mildura site, and advised Parks Management of our concerns.
Union members based at Werrimull provided extensive feedback to management about the importance of the Werrimull office for the work performed in the Murray Sunset National Park, and the false economy of the proposed move.
On the basis of this feedback, Management have reversed their decision, and the office will remain open and fully functional.

As we have been saying for 125 years, strong and active membership, such as that in Werrimull, gets results!
Congratulations to all involved.

CPSU - 125 in 2010.
When 1,000 colonial public servants crammed into the Athenaeum Hall in Collins Street on 17 June 1885 to form the Victorian Public Service Association they had no idea that we d be still here and turning 125 this year.
TOGETHER WE DO BETTER!
