Ed News - Check Your Pay & Leave
Unauthorised Deductions Taken over Holiday Period
Check your holiday pays for unauthorised LSL payments and/or public holiday deductions!
CPSU has had members report that they have had unauthorised long service leave (LSL) payments over the holiday period.
You should only be paid accumulated LSL if you are taking approved LSL or your employment has been terminated and is not renewed for 2011.
Early unauthorised payments of LSL mean that your LSL balance may be zero – without your permission!
CPSU has also had reports of some members being incorrectly paid for public holidays and then having this payment deducted, without authorisation or opportunity for a reasonable repayment plan.
Please contact CPSU Organiser Nick Church on 9639 1822 or nchurch@cpsuvic.org if you are affected by these issues and we will take it up on your behalf with DEECD.
Please distribute this bulletin and ask your colleagues to join CPSU to have their voice heard and their views represented.
