Union Lawyers to Deliver Members Information Session
Were you involved in the Black Saturday fire fighting effort? Have you been subject to the Royal Commission proceedings? Have you received a summons from Victoria Police regarding matters relating to Black Saturday? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, you are not alone!

Union members across the state want to know more about the Royal Commission process, interim reports and individual workers rights.

Your individual rights, both legal and industrial, are crucial, and many workers have contacted the union seeking advice should they be subject to “individual criticisms”
and scrutiny that may arise as a result of the Royal Commission process.

CPSU in partnership with our lawyers Maurice Blackburn, are inviting all interested members to attend an independent Legal and Industrial information session for those workers involved in Black Saturday and the corresponding Royal Commission Process.

Information session details:

Presenters: Maurice Blackburn Lawyers
Location: CPSU Offices c/- Rosella Complex,
6 Palmer Parade, Richmond VIC 3121.
Date/time: Wednesday 3rd February. 11am.

Please bring any written instruction or advice you have had from your Department / Agency regarding the process the RC would follow and what the Agencies said they would do for employees.

It is every union member s right to seek independent legal and industrial advice concerning their working life.
