Improper Association Update.
Do Not Sign while talks are underway as the implementation date for completing an Improper Association notification has been shifted back a month to the end of May.
CPSU have scheduled a series of meetings with VicPol Senior Management over the next month to discuss the “Improper Association” instruction recently issued by Victoria Police.
After our first meeting it became abundantly clear that the present document is inadequate and not acceptable.
In the interim we are advising our members not to sign either of the improper Association Declarations.
CPSU needs to hear your views and will be visiting the following work places so far.
Wednesday 2 April -
12 noon Footscray Police Station
Thursday 3 April –
11am Licensing Service Division VPC
2pm Record Services and Public Enquiry Unit VPC 5pm VISU Preston
Tuesday 8 April -

If you are a member and are concerned about the implications that will arise for your career from this Instruction ring CPSU Industrial Officer Emily Castle on 9639 1822 and arrange a time for her to discuss it with you and your colleagues at your workplace.
The benefits we enjoy now are the result of many decades of effort by union members.
By constantly pushing for improvement in all workplaces, we set an example for our fellow workers around the world and for the next generation of Australians.
CPSU's 7 day a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year industrial protection ensures you have the principal public sector organisation looking after your working rights, winning wage increases, protecting your conditions, and providing personal industrial assistance when you need it.
CPSU MEMBERSHIP IS PROTECTION FOR YOUR MOST IMPORTANT ASSET. YOUR JOB.
Speak to a colleague today about the benefits of CPSU membership and have them contribute to our successes rather than just enjoying the benefits.
