VPS Workplace Determination 2012 Approved by FWA

Fair Work Australia issued its decision, approving the Victorian Public Service Workplace Determination 2012, on Monday 23 July, 2012.

This replaces the current VPS agreement and is effective on or after the first pay period from July 23 2012.

The Determination will operate until 31 December 2015, locking in the pay and condition changes until after the next State election.

You must be an employee at the commencement of the next VPS pay period, being 29 July, to receive the $1,500 bonus and the first 3.25% salary increase, which will be back dated to 1 July 2012.

The Determination in the main preserves existing terms and conditions of employment and has some extra benefit in partner parental leave, a one off cashing in of annual leave where an excess of 20 days is available and an amended under performance and misconduct clause which ensures procedural fairness.
