”From 1 July 2017, every electorate office in both upper and lower houses will have funding for extra 0.5 FTE (Full Time Equivalent) staff member at Grade 2 level.” 

The union has been working hard behind the scenes to impress on Government the need for additional staffing in electorate offices.

CPSU is happy this has been recognised and congratulate the Government for making this important decision about employee safety which finally returns electorate offices to the staffing complememnt that existed prior to the the Kennett Government cuts in 1992. 

It is expected that there will be further discussions with Government and DPS about how this budget commitment will be implemented.
