An Alternative View - Classification Review Process

CPSU would like to address the points made by the CEO of AMES in the email, ‚Äö?Ñ??AMES Classification Review Update , dated 11 February 2009. CPSU is negotiating with AMES HR in good faith and Union officers meet regularly with AMES HR and members of our Career Structure Consultative Committee.

The parties are close to an ‚Äö?Ñ??in principle agreement.

CPSU does not wish to unduly delay any pay increases for members, but any new structure needs to be beneficial for our members and AMES employees in the long run.

It has taken a long time to get to this point.

It is worth ensuring the proposed structure is advantageous for all.

There are many issues which CPSU is concerned about that directly impact on member s salary and conditions.

CPSU members of the Classification Review Consultative Committee have prepared a background document responding to the views circulated by AMES CEO.
