Audited Accounts Released for 2021/22
Our financial statements for 2021/22 including the independent audited accounts have been released. The Covid-19 pandemic continued to have a significant impact on the unions operations as we continued to operate remotely due to public health restrictions. The union continued to operate remotely due to public health restrictions however hybrid working arrangements with union staff working partly from home and from our office commenced early in 2022 in line with easing of restrictions.

Cases and Notifications of Change
During the reporting period the union received 113 notifications of change from various employers. Between I July 2021 and 30 June 2022 we opened 956 new cases, comprising 244 enquiries (phone, email, walk-in), 704 industrial cases and 8 WorkCover cases. We closed 1,042 cases, comprising 249 enquiries (phone, email, walk-in), 750 industrial cases and 43 WorkCover cases.
Union details
The number of full-time equivalents employees at 30 June 2022 was 62.25 (2021: 53.32) as membership numbers dramatically increased over the reporting period. CPSU employed a number of additional staff over the 2021/2022 financial year in order to assist with the workload.
The number of financial members, inclusive of the Retired Officers Division, at 30 June 2022 was 14,873 (2021: 15,717)
