CPSU held initial discussions with MV management regarding their proposed restructure of the Visitor Engagement Team (VEO) and we’d like to provide members with an update.

MV has agreed to work collaboratively with CPSU to map existing VEOs into the proposed new roles.

MV have confirmed that the new Concierge/Security role will cover approximately 90% of current VEO duties, and that any matched VEO staff will receive appropriate additional training.

Importantly, MV has clarified that this is NOT a “Spill and Fill” process.

They have also confirmed the creation of 16 new ongoing roles will be a mix of full-time, part-time, and irregular part-time positions.

CPSU has reinforced the importance of using clear and precise language throughout the process.

CPSU will continue meeting with MV to advocate for fair and transparent outcomes for all affected members.
